B+W Italian monster shocker (with a cool title sequence) about a sexy blonde stripper(Susan Loret) who has a fight with her sailor boyfriend, and in a rage goes hot rodding. A big mistake ‘coz she can’t drive and crashes and fucks up one side of her face which makes her even more angry. So she smashes up her hospital room.................
Sorry, I was laughing at that scene and got distracted.
Anyway, a mad skin crazy pervert doctor (with a great lab) decides to fix her once pretty mug with super-crap ‘Derma 28’ and succeeds, but finds out quick that the effects don’t last too long so he needs to murder other beautiful women to get fresh lady-glands.
The Doc (Alberto Lupo) transforms into a neat looking radioactive fuzz face/werewolf when in homicidal mode after injecting himself with ‘Derma 25’, but nobody seems to mind. Hurrah!
It belts along real fast, is gory (for it’s time), is packed with saucy ladies, snappy dialogue, stop-motion FX, screaming dames, Hiroshima photo’s, nightgowns and hell, even the english dubbing is good.
It could be seen as a deep, meaningful statement on the futility of cosmetics or the shallowness of beauty - but I fucking doubt it.
