Trashy escaped killer on the loose on kids Prom Night type affair that dispenses with all shocks, gore, violence, anything that would have made it worth watching in fact, in order to secure a PG13 rating from the censors.
Most of the time it feels like one of those tripe day time television soap operas, packed full of angst, lingering shots in case the viewer is too idiotic to have worked it out for themselves, and lots of cliched dialogue that feels about as natural as a 1 legged midget dancing ballet.
Plot wise, if you've read my opening paragraph then you know it all. There's no character development at all, just shallow cut outs going through the motions. There really isn't anything here that 99% of viewers will give a shit about, the most anticipated part for many will be the end credits rolling.
Yes, it digs out all the slasher cliches to try and make something of itself - but, they are so watered down as to lack any bite. When coupled with the fact that they are just cliches, they add nothing new, and have been done a million times before, only better, this is going nowhere.
Bah, if you want a soap opera then watch some crap like Home and Away or the OC. If you want a horror movie then give this a miss.
