Set deep in the Australian outback, a boat full of tourists are drawn into sacred ground when they see a flare being set off in the distance. Once they find the source of the flare things get worse as the boat is capsized by a rather big and unfriendly croc. The tourists manage to get to the safety of a local island fine, but it seems there is a snag, the tide is rising and the island will be a gonner by nightfall. With this situation in hand, how will the tourists survive the dangers of the outback?

Here we have another croc movie, I honestly wasn't expecting to like this one, but I have to say it turned out not too bad. Watching Rogue I can't help but be reminded of a previous Australian croc movie, Black Water. There are many similarities and it makes me wonder how much you can actually do with a crocodile to be honest.

The movie manages to create suspense and dread well and has the ability to shock but it seems to be missing something important, originality. I can't see 'anything' that distinguishes Rogue from it's contemporaries at all.

The movie does have solid production however, the croc is believable, the camera work and lighting all work well and the general acting quality combine to produce a decent entertaining flick, just don't expect too much.

In the end I could only recommend Rogue to lovers of croc movies and die hard horror fans, most peeps will have seen all of this before. Not bad but certainly not great.
